Tis the season

I’ve used this stamp before but never in a Christmas card .   Using non traditional stamps for holiday cards are a great way to get full use out iof them and is a nice change from the usual holiday images.

The stamp is from Stampendous and I’ve had it for many years.  it was colored with copics .   the sentiment was computer generated .

I’ll be sharing more of my holiday cards over the next week so be sure to stop by.

a color challenge

Well look at this – posting two days in a row!!    I h ope you are doing well today.  Springtime is in full bloom here in Florida.  Our lemon and lime trees are bearing fruit and we just planted some veggies.  We’ve also noticed that a pair of blue birds are flying in and out of one of the birdhouses in our backyard so we are hopeful that there will be a little bluebird family soon!

Today’s card is for the color challenge at SCS which calls for using two blues and a green and an option to do some dry embossing on your card.  My card contains perhaps a little more green, plus some browns for the sand, but I hope it still qualifies!  And I dry embossed a frame around the image.

I kept the design clean and simple, letting the image speak for itself.  The scene is from Stampendous and the sentiment from Papertrey.  Both were stamped with Memento Black.

The scene was colored with prisma pencils.  That’s it!  No solvent such as gamasol or baby oil.  I just colored with pencils and used a colorless blender pencil for blending.  Neenah cardstock was used for the coloring layer and the base card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today
