Holiday House with Poppy Stamp Dies

Hello crafters – today I am showing a Christmas card I made for some family members.

I used the die set from Poppy Stamps called Holiday House. It makes a great card – the details are very nice.

Since I had 3 family members moving into new houses this year, I decided to give each of them one of these cards. I hope they like them.

This die set can be a labor of love – lots of little dies to make those details. The windows and the snow on the windows are especially challenging. Because they are small it is hard to get adhesive on them. I’ve learned to use double stick adhesive sheets for these small dies and they work well.

I used the Sizzix brand double sided adhesive sheets. You remove the backing on one side and attach your cardstock. Then you place your die on the cardstock and run it through your machine. Once your die is cut, you can remove the backing from the die cut, revealing the adhesive and place the die cut on your project.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Holiday House Gift Box

Hello everyone and Happy December!! By now we are all in the thick of things for the holiday season. Is your house decorated? Have you started your holiday shopping?

Today marks the start of another monthly challenge with the Scor-Pal Design Team. This month we want to see your Winter Holiday creations.
You can follow the theme if you like, but if you don’t want to you can do an “Anything Goes” creation as long as it follows the general rules
Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make “More Than One Score” and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won’t count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc will. Also we love to see your “Anything But a Card” projects, just as long as you make “More Than One Score”
We have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to get you eager to enter.

I have a wonderful gift box to share with you. This is an elegant way to box up a gift.

There is a link to a video on how I put it all together below. I used the Winter House Pop up die set from Poppy Stamps, a Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape and different types of card stock. You can find the scor-pal here.

The box measures 5.5″ tall, 4.25″ wide and 4.25″ deep. It take two sheets of cardstock measuring 10.5 x 9 to create it. The video shows how that was done.

The little wreath on the front was so simple. I used a punch from WRMK called hole reinforcer punch and added glitter glue to it.

Take a look at the video tutorial – thanks for watching!

Open Hillside Christmas card

Hello stampers!  I have another Christmas card to share with you today.

This pretty aqua and white Christmas card uses a few dies and stamps to create a wintery scene.

I started by using two Poppy Stamps dies – Open Hillside and Sloping Hillside. I cut each die then layered them putting the Open Hillside die in front.  The trick to pair these two dies is to leave enough of a border around the die cut so you can line them up.

After gluing them together I added some glitter on the trees and snowbanks.

I then took a scrap of the aqua paper and stamped and embossed some snowflakes to create the background.  All the pieces were put together and added to the card front.

The poinsettia die is from Spellbinders and I added a small aqua pearl to the center of it.

While this has a clean and simple look, it was a bit more involved.  With the die cuts you can be efficient.  I have the regular sized Gemini die cut machine and can run both hillside dies and the poinsettia die in one pass instead of cranking three dies separately.

I hope your holiday season is going well.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
