Nutcracker Ornament

Well, how cute is this….

I continue on with my ornament making this year and this months is just adorable.

While this nutcracker ornament is not perfect (we always see the mistakes in our crafts), it is just so cute.

I got the pattern from my monthly subscription kit from The Ornament Girl and this one will be placed on my tree right away.

As with the other ornaments I have shown it is made my folding different pieces of fabric and pinning them on a foam ball – or in this case a foam square!

I love how this tuned out, although I don’t think the feather on top will last from year to year, so I’ll have to figure out what to do when that day comes.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your holiday season is going well.

Christmas in June?

Hello fellow crafters – we are in full summer swing, but I wanted to share a little Christmas with you.

Just a few days ago I finished this ornament using fabrics I bought at the local quilt store/ I fell in love with these fabrics and knew I had to make an ornament with them. The floral pattern fabric has gold thread throughout it. The gold fabric is actually ribbon that I purchased at an after Christmas sale at JoAnns – they had a ton of ribbon at 70% off right after the holidays and I picked up several rolls.

I hope your summer is going well! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Season’s Greetings

Hello crafters! We are heading towards the end of 2021 and I hope all is well with you. Have you been crafting more so this past year? I hope to do more in 2022.

I just have something non stamping to share with you. A fabric quilted ornament.

I first tried making one of these about 10 years ago and never really got into it, but somehow I stumbled upon a website the got my curiosity back and decided to try them again. I did not realize there were so many patterns out there – this is just the basic star ornament. No sewing, just lots of pins to make the design.

The fabric is from JoAnn’s – picked up during their after Christmas sale. The white fabric has a subtle snowflake pattern which is lost here. I will have to do another ornament to show more of the white.

I hope all of you have a wonderful new year – here’s looking to a great crafting year in 2022!
