Star of Peace

This card was made with another one of the images on the Inkadinkado stamp set – the same set that I used in the previous post.  I really like all the images in the set – you’ll be able to put together a bunch of cards in different styles  quickly.

I started with Bermuda Bay cardstock and stamped the image in black and embossed it with stardust embossing powder (from Custers Last Stamp).  I needed to use black ink to allow the image to show through.  The image was mounted on vanilla.  All the embossed areas really sparkle – its so hard to get a good photo of cards like this!  The star itself was colored in with a stardust gel pen.

The background was created using SU’s Filagree stamp, with versamark and the same embossing powder.  Chocolate cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch were used for the lower portion along with  some trim for a little more texture.  I left the lower portion just stamped – unembossed – beacause I did not want the background to overtake the main image.

Thanks for stopping by!
