Sneak peek – day one!

Stampers know that fall brings the start of getting ready for the winter holiday season.   So many of us make all our holiday cards and it’s important to start early.  Flourishes is releasing several Christmas sets on Friday night and today the design team and I are giving you a little peek at two of them

nutcrackerfinalThis card was made using the main image from the Christmas Drummer set. It’s such a darling set with nutcrackers, musical instruments and sentiments.  The nutcracker was stamped in Palette Ink – noir and colored with twinkling H2O’s in the colors of solar gold, sunburst, jasper red, hot cinnamon and hunter grey.  A stardust gel pen  added more sparkle once everything was dry.  A Martha Stewart punch and strip of red rhinestone were also used.  I don’t know if you can tell from the photo, but the background has a muted musical score stamped on the red designer paper. The music and sentiment are from the Musical Score stamp set which contains the background image and several holiday sentiments.

I think both sets work so well together!  Please hop over to the Flourishes newsletter where you can find links to all the design team – they’ve created some beautiful cards with these sets!.

Thanks for stopping by!

I still love my Twinks! They’re wonderful for insuring that extra bit of Christmas sparkle. That’s a pretty fabulous border of rhinestones so perfectly placed. The red music background is so deep and rich — a lovely way to set off your colorful nutcracker. Love this set!

All the cards I see with this set are beautiful, and this one is too. I like the gold diamond on the side and the colours.
