Pretty in blue and white

I saw this sketch in a Joy of Card Making magazine years ago and had good intentions to do the card, but never got around to it!  So, while playing along with the World Card Making Challenges over the weekend made sure at least one of the cards would follow the sketch.

wcmd blue and white

The color scheme was kept simple – just blue and white.  I stamped the pieces first, then cut them to size.  The images are from Flourishes Thank You, Damask and Flourished Words sets.  The damask sections were embossed with white pigment ink and embossing powder.  The white satin ribbon and silver cord were easy choices to complete the card.

I chose a birthday sentiment for the tag, but the card could have easily become a wedding or anniversary card.    The sketch came together very quickly and I hope to use it again soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

This is one I would like to copy if you don’t mind. It’s a simple design but so striking, I love it. Thanks for showing it.
