Sneak Peek – Day 2 – Seaside Life

July 9, 2009 at 12:05 am 8 comments

seasidelife card with copicI’ve always lived near the coast.   I grew up along the Connecticut coast where summer was way too short and the water cold,  but it never stopped us from spending those carefree days at the beach.  I married and moved to southern California where summer lasted longer and the beaches seemed to stretch forever.

We moved to Florida several years ago and I could not be happier.  The beaches along the northwest gulf coast are some of the prettiest I’ve seen.  Pure white sand framing the blue-green tropical waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  Warm water and pretty shells, palm trees and warm nights!

It was inevitable that Flourishes come out with a shell set and Seaside Life, designed by Marcella Hawley is just beautiful!

I wanted to keep the colors of this card simple  to give the feel of water and sand.  The shells were stamped in Palette ink – burnt umber and colored with the Copic Collection  – Flesh Tones 1 on Flourishes  Classic White Cardstock.  The scalloped shell was cut out and popped up over the other images.

Want a chance to win this set?  Hop on over to the Flourishes Newsletter and get all the details.  You’ll also find links to the Design Team – check out their great creations!

Tomorrow (Friday) we’ll have the final sneak peek  so be sure to check back here and on the newsletter.  I’ll have another copic video and I hope you will like what you see!

The release party starts Friday night at 9:00 central time on the Flourishes Forum at SCS.  Be sure to join us – we’ll have games, prizes and we’ll reveal all three sets!!

Thanks for stopping by!
