The photo was taken 23 years ago in Cancun, Mexico the week we met. We returned to the same resort two years later for our honey moon.
Happy anniversary honey! I love you!
The final set is from Lauren Pope, called Beach Life and when you live in Florida – well – life’s a beach!! If you dream of palm trees, beach chairs and relaxing in tropical waters, this set is for you! This card was created using copic markers and two of the images in the set and it reminds me of the beautiful beaches we have here in Pensacola. Check out the video below on how I created this look!
The Copic Collections used include the Water Collection and Flesh Tones 1 and one marker from the Sky Collection. Palette Ink – Burnt Umber was used to stamp the images, which were stamped on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.
Here is the video!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you tonight at the Flourishes Forum for the release party!
I’ve always lived near the coast. I grew up along the Connecticut coast where summer was way too short and the water cold, but it never stopped us from spending those carefree days at the beach. I married and moved to southern California where summer lasted longer and the beaches seemed to stretch forever.
We moved to Florida several years ago and I could not be happier. The beaches along the northwest gulf coast are some of the prettiest I’ve seen. Pure white sand framing the blue-green tropical waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Warm water and pretty shells, palm trees and warm nights!
It was inevitable that Flourishes come out with a shell set and Seaside Life, designed by Marcella Hawley is just beautiful!
I wanted to keep the colors of this card simple to give the feel of water and sand. The shells were stamped in Palette ink – burnt umber and colored with the Copic Collection – Flesh Tones 1 on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock. The scalloped shell was cut out and popped up over the other images.

Here is my little peek – I made an ATC for a swap using the strawberry image from the latest set created by Marcella Hawley, called Strawberries!!
Who doesn’t like this sweet summer fruit? It is pure summer with the bold colors and thoughts of strawberry ice cream, shortcake, margaritas….!!
I colored using the Copic Collections of Poppy and Evergreen with a little yellow from Daffodil on Flourishes Classic White cardstock. The image was stamped using Palette Ink – Burnt Umber. Here is a video of how I did the coloring…
