When you first start using copics, there is no getting around it – you have to practice! Of course, this is true with any new tool and copics are no different.
What I’ve done is stamp an image many times on a sheet of good cardstock (Flourishes Classic White cardstock is used here) and just practice coloring! I colored this image using the Flourishes Sky Collection of copics, then used the lightest marker in each of the Fields, Daffodil and Poppy Collections for the accent color.
Here’s a video on how I did it!
And here is my finished card!
Yes, I’ve been MIA for awhile in blogging – just one of the things that get pushed aside , but I found time to make a card for the latest Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge. The challenge was to create something based on inspiration from Kim Poloson’s posters – and I have a feeling that I am going to get inspriation from many of her posters for future cards!
I had some designer paper in my stash and paired it up with chocoloate cardstock. The image, from Flourishes All Wrapped Up set, was stamped in Burnt Umber Palette ink and colored with prisma pencils. A sheer chocolate ribbon was added for a little softness.
The Kim Poloson poster that was my inspriation can be found here. What do you think?
