Timeless Tuesday

nkirtatc-with-flourishThis ATC does double duty – it was created for the recent Flourishes ATC swap , and also serves as my creation for the first (of many) Friends of Flourishes Challenges called Timeless Tuesday.   The Friends of Flourishes will be bringing you exciting and different challenges each week. This week Cindy Haffner is hosting  our first ever Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge. To kick off this challenge in a Flourishes way she wants us all to use flourishes and swirls of any kind. So if it has a
flourish or a swirl it will work. Upload your stamped items to the SCS gallery using the keyword FTTC1.   Check the Flourishes Newsletter
for all the  challenge information.

Here’s how I made the ATC .  I stamped and embossed the rose, from the I Love Roses set, on white cardstock.  Then I made a mask using Eclipse Masking tape (and this stuff is a must have for any stamper!) and stamped the flourishy image, from Flourished Elements, using a mix of clear embossing powder and gold Pearl-ex.  When you look at the image head on it almost looks like a watermark, but if you look at an angle you can see the gold.  I love this look as it is not as heavy as an embossed image.  The rose was colored using Twinkling H2O’s.

Check out the Flourishes Newsletter for more samples and details on the Friends of Flourishes Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!
