All That Glitters!

Yesterday,  Flourishes released five new sets and they are all about Christmas!   This post will focus on two of them, All That Glitters and Holiday Greetings.

Marcella Hawley created All That Glitters in the syle of vintage glass ornaments and the set contains seven ornaments.  The card above shows one of the ornaments embossed in gold and colored with Twinkling H2O’s. The sentiment is from the new Holiday Greetings set.  The background flourish is from the Flourished Elements set and the litte stars on the teal paper are from the City of David set.   I used white and teal paper and some gold scrapbooking paper.

  • Stamps:  All That Glitters, Holiday Greetings, Flourished Elements, City of David
  • Inks:  Versamark,  Twinkling H2O’s Sky Blue and Blue Grass from the mini pot pack # 1251
  • Other:  Gold embossing powder, gold, teal and white paper, teal ink, teflon bone folder

This card uses the bird ornament and evergreen from All That Glitters, and another sentiment from Holiday Greetings.  The bird was embossed in gold and colored with Twinkling H2O’s.  Look at that background paper – this is from the Glittered Christmas paper from Flourishes and you won’t find the pack anywhere else.  Flourishes has put together a set of 7 different designs.  The paper is heavy weight card stock, not designer paper and is cut in a 6 x 6 sise.  Shown here is red with green glitter damask.  The glittered christmas pack also contains a red with red glitter damask pattern, chocolate with bronze damask, a solid red, green and chocolate with glitter confetti and a tan with glitter pinecone pattern.

  • Stamps:  All That Glitters,  Holiday Greetings
  • Paper:  Red, green, white, Glittered Christmas Paper
  • Other:  versamark, green ink, gold embossing powder, twinkling h2o’s, stardust gold pen, teflon bone folder

Here is a look at these two sets!

How does the saying go, ‘All that glitters is not gold’, it’s your beautiful cards. The color combo in the top one is one of my favorites. Your design is wonderful. Very pretty. The second one is lovely too. The background and the dimensional bird are so pretty!
