This card uses today’s sketch challenge at SCS.  Once I cut the pieces and got the size of the main panel down the rest of the card was amazingly simple!!  For the main panel I “scribbled” metallic ink randomly on a panel of watercolor paper – you can’t see it in this picture but check out the close up below to see what it looks like.  Once the metallic ink was dry I randomly sprayed four different colors of Zia’s colorwash sprays on the panel, drying each color before adding the next.  Once the final color was applied and dried, I simply stamped the Peony image and word with chocolate chip ink.   Because the spray is applied randomly each panel you create is slightly different.  I love the intensity and vibrant look of these sprays.  On the background card the leaf images are stamped in magenta ink.

Supplies used:

Paper:  Chocolate chip, pomegranate, apricot, watercolor

Ink:  Chocolate chip, magenta, Zia Colorwash Spray, metallic ink

Stamps:  Peony from Flourishes

Here is a close up of what the metallic inks look like.
