Happy BIrthday Leslie

Would you give a professional baker a home baked cake?  Or an artist a nkirklesliebdsweettreats350.jpgpicture you painted?  So how could I make a birthday card for a very talented card designer?  Leslie Miller is one of the very creative designers for Flourishes and I want to wish her a very happy birthday.  This card was made for her, and while I could never come close to measuring up to her design quality, I’m pleased with how it turned out!

The card was made using rose red as the base, and Basic Grey’s Pheobe collection for the rest of the papers, with the velvet ric rac from the Urban Coture ribbon collection.  Nestabilities die cuts created the rectangle and oval shapes and I used SU’s photo corner punch for the corners.

The stamps are from the Sweet Treats set from Flourishes.  I used Prismas to color the images and added some sparkle with a gel pen.
